The Sako 90 Hunter is a high-end bolt-action rifle designed specifically for traditional hunting, distinguished by its combination of the classic warmth of a walnut stock with the most advanced mechanical innovations from the Finnish manufacturer SAKO. This model replaces the legendary Sako 85 series, introducing critical improvements in accuracy, safety, and smoothness.

- Ergonomic Stock: Made from selected Grade 2 walnut wood. It features a slightly raised cheekpiece and a pistol grip designed to offer optimal and natural shouldering when using scopes.
- Reorganized Sako 90 Action: Available in multiple action sizes perfectly suited to each caliber group. This minimizes bolt travel, reduces weight, and allows for extremely fast follow-up.
- Three-Lug Bolt: One-piece stainless steel bolt with a short 60º opening. It maintains Sako's legendary smoothness and integrates a double-piston ejector system (inherited from their TRG tactical rifles) to ensure clean and energetic cartridge ejection.
- Multi-Adjustable Trigger: Allows you to modify the trigger pull weight in 5 different positions without disassembling the weapon. Simply insert a Torx wrench through the trigger guard. The longitudinal position of the trigger can also be adjusted.
- Cold Forged Barrel (CHF): Match grade barrels that guarantee sub-MOA accuracy from the first shot and extreme durability.
- Double-Row Magazine: Made of metal, it is completely removable and features the Sako safety system, which requires pressing inwards before releasing to prevent accidental loss in the field. It also allows for direct top loading through the ejection port.
- Hunter Stainless Steel: Replaces the action and barrel with satin-finished stainless steel. It's the ideal combination for those who want the look of wood but need extra resistance to moisture and rain.
- "MT" Barrel: Cold hammer forged, free-floating, with lengths of 20, 22, or 24 inches (depending on the caliber). Includes muzzle threads (M15x1 or 5/8x24 depending on the version).
