The Sako 90 Peak Stainless is an ultralight premium bolt-action rifle designed specifically for high-mountain hunting and demanding stalking. A direct evolution of the iconic Carbonlight platform of the Sako 85, this model combines aerospace-grade materials with a highly durable matte stainless steel action.
Key Technical Specifications
- Featherweight: Only about 2.6 kg (in short action type .308 Win), which drastically reduces fatigue on long high-altitude hikes.
- RTM Carbon Fiber Stock: Manufactured using resin transfer molding (aerospace technology). It features a RoughTech textured finish that prevents slippage in the rain and provides UV protection.
- Fluted Stainless Steel Barrel: Cold forged. Fluting reduces weight and accelerates cooling. It comes standard with an M15x1 muzzle thread and a radial muzzle brake to reduce recoil.
- Sako 90 Action: Machined from stainless steel with a satin-finished, anti-reflective coating. Its monobloc bolt has three locking lugs and a rapid 60º opening angle, optimized with double active ejectors for reliable ejection.
- Multi-adjustable trigger: Allows you to choose between 5 different pull weights directly through a window in the trigger guard using a Torx key, in addition to allowing you to adjust the physical position of the trigger tail.
- Integrated optics: Incorporates Picatinny-type rails machined directly onto the steel action, eliminating the need to add external bases and guaranteeing absolute robustness.
- Metal magazine: Detachable, double-stack, and with an anti-injury/anti-loss safety system that requires pressing upwards before releasing the latch. Capacity of 5 standard rounds (4 in Magnum calibers).
